Thanksgiving in France - Skyline Chili

Thursday, November 23 was just another working day in France. In the USA, of course, it was Thanksgiving - the most American holiday of any. The expats all got together at Joe Moeddel's apartment to celebrate. (Intro picture shows Joe, Gabi, Daniela, Lucia, Andrea, Theresa and Adria. Picture below shows Patrick, Daniela again, me, Andrea, and then Chris Lacy. Chris was visiting for the week from Basingstoke, UK.)Normally, thanksgiving is a food-fest of turkey and stuffing and such. However, it is pretty difficult to cook a bird after working a normal day. So Joe decided to server something as American as stuffed turkey, but much quicker to prepare. Joe decided to serve Skyline Chili.Skyline Chili is a Cincinnati tradition. Joe grew up in Cincinnati and smuggled few cans of Skyline back to France. All it took was a little spagghetti, beans, and onions to recreate the authentic Skyline meal. Lucia brought some very good eggplant parmesan. Throw in a little salad and you've got a feast the pilgrims would be proud of.

The picture below shows Joe receiving thanks from Lucia and Gabi.
