Lost Somewhere in Germany

On Saturday, November 4, I talked Gabi and Theresa into driving to Rothenburg, Germany. Rothenburg is a charming little medieval village ....at least that's what they tell me. You see, I don't know because we never made it to Rothenburg. We were having such a good chat that we missed our turn and ended up somewhere near Munich. Unfortunately, Rothenburg is no where near Munich.

Instead, we ended up in some little village in Barvaria.... a little village that was having a festival for the wine harvest. There were lots of guys dressed up in their alpine hats and lederhosen and such. I think they were part of the wine-producing community. Most of the people were just plain townsfolk out with their kids to shop in the street market and have a snort or two of the new wine or a hot mug of Gluhwein. To paint a better picture for you, the photo below shows Theresa and Gabi having a snort for themselves. With luck, perhaps we can actually make it to Rothenburg for the Christmas markets. If we do, I will let you know whether it is as charming as they say.
