The Flea Market

To get to the Hooters restaurant in Neunkirchen, Germany, we took the back roads north through the department of Moselle. This cuts across the northern hills of the Vosges, so for a while the roads are pretty curvey as you wind between villages.

In one of these villages (I can't even remember the name), we stumbled across a flea market. Pretty much the entire town was out checking out the junk. And believe me, there was lots of junk.Cindy, Theresa, and I all agreed that we had better junk hiding in our basements. There were lots of old radios from the 70s and eight track tapes and glassware and wine buckets. Theresa found a souvenir plate painted with a couple in Alsatian costume. This is what Theresa and Cindy are proudly displaying in the opening photo. The rest are just snapshots from this little town with its little flea market and its little pink sandstone church.
